WePlay Community – Review in 2023

Dear WePlay Community,

The past year has been successful for our community despite some challenges. Through a change in server providers, we were able to overcome these issues. Since the server transition on 11th August 2023, we have achieved an impressive uptime of 99%, and network problems are now a thing of the past.

Our community is steadily growing, and we are approaching the mark of 400 users. This growth reflects the ongoing interest in our project.

Financials:
The monthly expenses for the project amount to approximately €130. Thanks to generous donations, we have received a total of €167.53.

Use of Donations:
We want to emphasize that all donations will be invested 100% in the project. Our goal is to provide the community with high-quality servers and a platform. Donations will contribute to covering server costs and further developing the game servers and the website.

Website:
After careful consideration and discussions, I have decided that our website (starting small) will be based on the Woltlab CMS. Some addons and plugins are still missing but will be implemented gradually. Due to financial constraints, we cannot implement everything at once.

Goals for 2024:
Donations:
I aim to be transparent and share the server costs and donation income with you. In the new year, we will maintain a list of donations and make it publicly available. Your in-game name will be considered instead of personal data.

Server Expansion:
We are considering providing another game server. The decision will be made through a community survey.
