Important News and Survey on the Release of 7 Days to Die Version 1.0

The WePlay team held a meeting on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Topics included making internal problem-solving easier and, of course, the update for the release of 7 Days to Die Version 1.0. Here, we would like to give you an idea of how things might proceed with the release.

We have come up with something and would like to hear your opinion on the following proposal:

With the release of Version 1.0, the "Modded" server will be wiped as usual with each new Alpha, and a new map will be created. The focus will initially be on getting to know the new version of the game. The mods will not all be updated at the time of release, which means that the mods currently in use will only become available and be installed on the server gradually.

We have considered that it might make sense to create a new world again after 1 or 2 months once the new version is available. The reasons for this are that by this time, players will be familiar with the new version, most, if not all, mods will have been updated, and there will be new custom maps with all the new POIs available. Which map will then be installed on the server can be decided by another survey.

So, our question to you is: What do you think of the proposal to restart the world, etc., 1 or 2 months after the release to provide a smooth and functioning server without complications between mods? Let's consider the 1 or 2 months as a preparation period. This survey will determine whether the "preparation period" should be 1 or 2 months.

The Darkness Falls server will continue to be available on the current version (Alpha 21.2) until an update for Version 1.0 is available.
