[POLL] 7 Days to Die: Switch from Vanilla Modded #2 to Afterlife Overhaul Server?

Dear WePlay Community,

We are considering replacing our "7 Days to Die Vanilla Modded #2" server with a permanent server featuring the "Afterlife" overhaul mod. Before making this decision, we would like to hear your opinion on this plan!

What is the "Afterlife" Mod?

Afterlife is an immersive, hardcore survival overhaul mod for 7 Days to Die, specifically designed for cooperative multiplayer gameplay. The mod brings a completely new gaming experience with the following main features:

  • Action-Skill System: All attributes and skills are improved through active gameplay, traditional levels no longer exist
  • Redesigned Environment: Particularly impressive forest and desert biomes with improved lighting and weather effects
  • Hardcore Survival: Vitality system as a new resource, weight system for inventory, permanent infections (but manageable)
  • Discovery Aspect: No traders or quests at the beginning, no map/compass/clock (must be found)
  • New Equipment: Additional equipment slots (torch, backpack, watch, map, compass) and three new weapon/tool tiers
  • Improved Rain Effects and other visual enhancements
  • Wasteland Megacity: Available in random world generation
  • Blueprint System for building structures
  • Various Classes to choose from at game start

Additional Features of the "Afterlife" Mod

  • Completely New Perks: All perks have been redesigned and adjusted
  • Izayo's Weapon Packs: Numerous new weapons, fully integrated into game progression
  • Dyeing System: With "Dye Tub" for 512 different color combinations
  • Quantity/Liquid Storage: With glass containers as main storage
  • Cartography Table: For sharing map information with allies
  • Training Dummy: For practice when you don't want to go outside at night
  • Various Hotkeys: For improved playability (viewable in the vanilla "info panel")

The mod intentionally comes with minimal documentation to encourage the discovery aspect. Books in the game provide hints about various game mechanics.

What Would Change?

The switch would mean that we replace the current Vanilla Modded #2 server with a permanent Afterlife server. The game world would need to be restarted, but in return, you would get a fresh and challenging gaming experience with significantly more depth in the survival aspect.

Should the "7 Days to Die Vanilla Modded #2" server be replaced with a permanent Afterlife mod server?

i do have few questions before i can vote..

will it be pure/only Afterlife or you going to add some mods?

will the ingame shop be available?

will the balance of it be transferred to Afterlife or lost?

will it be possible to transfer the balance to Modded 1 if one doesn't want to play Afterlife?

Hello marko028,

It will be a pure Afterlife server. Some mods may be added, as long as they are compatible and customizable.

The in-game shop will also be set up, however not with high-end items. The mod is designed for exploration and long-term gameplay.

Regarding the transfer of WePlay CSMM Coins for the item shop, I will think about it further and discuss it with the team. However, I assume that we will find a solution.

Since Modded #2 with the Afterlife mod will be shut down, there will be an option to transfer your WePlay CSMM Coins for the item shop to a server of your choice. I will also discuss this with the team and announce it. But I don't foresee any problems there either, as it's simply a restructuring.

thank you for clearing the things up for me


"specifically designed for cooperative multiplayer gameplay"...it is really not the best option for people that play 7d2d mostly alone, like me


after looking a bit more into Afterlife mod and seeing some of the good and bad sides of the mod, i must say it is very interesting mod...but way to complicated/restrictive mod for my taste...i do want a challenge, but i don't want the game to be a job for me...i am more in realm of Rebirth mode and similar


and with the way servers almost always lag a bit on current vanilla server when someone logs in, i can only fear what the situation will be with Afterlife, a way more unforgiving mod...being so harshly punished with losing life/progression because game is a unoptimised mess is quite bad for my health...


i do hope people will have fun with the mod if you choose to change the server to it
